'THE ROLE OF THE COVER SUPERVISOR

CLASSROOM / BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT. HOW TO MINIMISE STRESS AND INCREASE EFFECTIVENESS AND LIFE EXPECTANCY!' (09.30-15.30)

 

iiiiAn enjoyable, realistic, practical and down to earth one-day course for all Middle and Secondary school Cover Supervisors who iiiiwish to improve or enhance their classroom and behaviour management skills. The course should also be beneficial to NQT’s, iiiioverseas staff and colleagues on the Graduate Teacher Programme.

iiiiThis one day course provides a practical approach to managing challenging behaviours. The day is appropriate for all teaching iiiiand support staff in Middle and Secondary schools who find themselves managing angry, aggressive and challenging students.

'ANTI-BULLYING POLICY AND PRACTICE' (09.30-15.30)

 

iiiiA one-day course specifically designed for Middle and Secondary teaching and support staff and all people working with iiiichildren and young people. Participants will have an opportunity to explore effective policy and enhance knowledge and skills iiiito prevent and respond to bullying.

'USING CREATIVE ARTS WITH TROUBLED STUDENTS' (09.30-15.30)

 

iiiiA one-day course specifically designed for Middle and Secondary teaching and support staff and all people working with iiiichildren and young people. School is a powerful, proactive factor where relationships with adults are most important in iiiihelping young people explore and resolve issues. To this end, participants will have an opportunity to explore a range of iiiiCreative Arts through a fun and informative day.

'LOSS AND BEREAVEMENT' (09.30-15.30)

 

iiiiEvery major loss will inevitably disrupt the development of self-esteem, the smooth progression of life and the sense that iiiievents are predictable and meaningful. This one day course for teachers and support staff will examine theories of loss and iiiibereavement including the stages of grief. The key focus will be the exploration and experience of strategies and responses to iiiiguide students through the process of loss.

'USING DRAMA / GAMES AND ACTIVITIES TO ENGAGE DISAFFECTED YOUNG PEOPLE AND THOSE WITH CHALLENGING BEHAVIOUR' (09.30-15.30)

 

iiiiA one-day course for staff in Middle and Secondary schools responsible for the social and emotional development of young iii iii iii people in their care (LSU / SEN staff, Tutors, Teachers, LSA’s, Pastoral Managers, Learning Mentors, etc).
